what would cause the revs to get stuck at around 2200 or 1500 rpm. if i rev it a tad it goes to normal idle. iac??? it does this pretty much all the time...

quick fix or replace it?

 

take it out and have a look, if it looks like it needs a good cleaning try that. otherwise you may want to test it or just replace. they are easy to remove, i take the tb off to make it easy to get to it and the tb is not hard to take off.

 

i replaced the iac with a working used one (apparently) and i cleaned it. the problem hasnt changed at all. so what else would cause this or could the iac that in bought be bad?

 

make sure the thottle is not sticking. cable, linkage, bent anything. or do you have thottle by wire.

 

throttle by wire. maybe i got a bad one. it didnt rev up like that for the first 80 miles or so... now its pretty bad...

 

sure sounds like it. tps is the only other thing i can think of.
