Default Stock Headers

I looked at my engine in the dark tonight and my headers where glowing red. Is this normall? It looked cool but I hope my engine was not running really hot.

If the car has headers it is probably OK as long as they don't glow bright orange or yellow. If the car has stock exhaust manifolds there is problem.

As a starter; too much fuel, misfire, retarded spark, bad exhaust valves. Is the car running good? Were you pushing the car hard before taking a look?

The car has been running great besides the leaking oil pan gasket but I keep that in check. The day I checked I had been driving up a mountian and the car started to bog down really bad but not stall out. I stoped and looked under the hood (dont know why it was dark)and I saw the glowing red exuast manifold. The car started right up after I let it cool down. I drive about 130 miles a day and have not had this problem since. By the wayI live in N. Georgia, the mountians are really just big hills. My car always feels hot inside the cabin on my feet and legs when I where shorts, really hot, so I don't know if that has something to do with it.
