Default Starting problems

Hi. i have a 1997 with Lt1. im having starting problems. The ignition, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator is all new. Ok so when the car is cold it takesa minute of cranking on and off to start, Most of the time when it is warm it will fire rite up. i am stumped because there is only codes popping for egr. like a purge solenoid switch, btw, i have not fixed the purge solenoid switch or anything, can anyone please help, i am broke!!!

1. battery discharged or low
2. fuel not reaching the fuel injectors. if your fuel filter is new check fuel lines
3.defective spark plugs
4. intake manifold vaccum leaks. make sure all the bolts aretight and also check your vacuum hoses.

hey thanks for replying. so the battery is fine, it cranks over strong. the problem diagnosing this is that it fires rite up after its warm usually. so i know its not ignition because it i replaced everything. the fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator are new. i dont think fuel lines could be the problem. i need to see how much fuel pressure is comin off, but does anyone know of a related problem witht his and the EGR or with any switches?

The EGR isn't going to matter on startup. My initial thought is potentially a bad coil in the Opti, but at this state it seems like it may be a shot in the dark. Have you tested your fuel pump? If you've replaced all the fuel delivery equipment it's going to be something with spark which usually boils down to the Opti...
