squeaky right rear
When I hit a bump or push down on right rear there is a squeak that can be heard from the inside and outside of car. When it is raining it doesn't happen. I'm leaning towards worn out bushings in the control arm. Has anyone had this problem? Is it a easy fix?
Thanks

its hard to tell, but if it squeaks, get some WD40 and spray each of the bushings. do one at a time and see which one takes the squeak away, then replace those bushings.
Yeah, I have tried the WD-40 and seems to work temporarily. It does seem to squeak more when it is cold and dry. Running it through a car wash helps stop it as well. I assume there is only one bolt to take out of the control arm and the bushing can be replaced. Thanks for reply and help....
The Haines manual for the camaro says that you should take the control arm to a machine shop to have the bushing replaced. I wonder if a parts store would have the bushings. It may be hard to get apart though????
If it turns out to be the control arm bushings replace the whole control if you have the $$, check out UMI for a good part at a great price. Not only do you get better traction because of less flex, the bushing are greasable so that they don't wear out as fast.
