Default Speed Sensor maybe?

Alright, here's the problem....About a month ago i took my 94 z28 to a trans shop to get it flushed. And it was leaking trans fluid gradually. I had an idea that it was the pan gasket, but turned out to be leaking from the speed sensor. The trans fluid leak stopped, but the same night, it started making some strange sound i've never heard before. It sounds like a high pitched fluttering noise (already had exhaust leak and not same noise) and the car only makes it when i'm coming to a stop. No its progessively worse and does it at lower speeds as well as lower rpm on acceleration. I have no experience with this problem....but i'm thinking it might be something with the speed sensor. After all, it started the same day i had the old one replaced at the shop. Any suggestions on what it is?? Thanks for the help.

*This is my first post so not too familiar with this forum....any help would be great.

The VSS is plugged into the rear of the transmission. The PCM uses the VSS data to figure out when to shift gears. If the VSS were broken, the car would not shift properly. It is driven by a helical gear cut into the tailshaft. so I doubt it is making noise. However, you may want to check it out and see if it is seated properly.

I had a similar sounding problem a couple of months ago. It ended up being a dirty EGR valve. Just clean it and reinstall it with a new gasket.
