Default Speed Sensor wireing!!!

While pulling my engine I found out why my speedo didnt work. Wasn't hooked up and there was no wires under the car and thinking I could have cut them while removing the old TBI wires and a/c wires.
I need to know where they run from and too and pictures would be nice. I know the wires should be Yellow and black from looking at diagrams but no clue where the go from tranny too the ECU.
I'm almost two headachs from trashing this plan and junking this car and finding something else too put my engine in.

well while waiting for a reply I located the wire but they have been cut, I now need too locate a pigtail too hook too the tranny. I found diagrams online somewhere and started hunting and tracing. I found my yellow and purple wires running too the speed buffer so now the pigtail should fix that and be ready too set my 350 in.

Well there you go. It seems odd that something like that would set you back. Its not a terribly difficult thing to correctly wire back up. Best of luck getting your new motor in.

Sorry fo no updates. Got my engine in and running, been taking my time and fixing problems that were there b4 and found along the way. Running now just need too locate a few parts. Need a power steering bracket for the back that acts like a brace and bolts too the exhaust manifold on the old style pumps and a non a/c heater box, the underhood part where the blower fan is that doesn't have the a/c components for a cleaner look plus my heads wont melt it more.
I have my speedo working, bought another parts car and pulled the pigtails off the tranny. The one for speed sensor and converter, located wires and spliced it back in. Found some grounds that had been cut and repaired those. Cooling fan and most gauges are working correctly except for the tach.

Once I find my PS bracket I can start driving it.

The tach should work if hooked up properly. You said you have the engine in, how did you wire the ignition to the tach? Pink is +, white is -. Also, your heads will not melt anything. I have the full A/C unit in and it holds up just fine. Gutting the bay for a cleaner look is a little silly. Its not like you drive your car without the hood on..

Yep I have pink too + and white too -. Sorry didnt't mean heads meant headers. This stupid laptop jumps the curser around and makes me type some screw up sometimes.
Header has already started melting the bottom of the box but have no clue if PO put the right headers on or not. The passenger side is real close too the box, i can get a pic too show what I talking about. Not doing it just for looks but figure since i would have to fix what is there for my heater too work right I might as well locate a non a/c unit. I have removed all the a/c components already, if I can keep the heat off the box I would just keep the factory a/c box there intact.
