Solid lifters question
Would it be possible to build an LT1 with solid lifters?
The goal would be to build a high revving (say 7200 RPM redline) LT1 that still produces the loads of low end torque that LT1's are famous for.
Or is that wishful thinking? I am not to experienced with the specifics of engine internals. I mean, I know how everything works, but not the details like cam size, etc...
Thanks for the info.

You're probably better off with something like these short travel hydraulic rollers.
COMP Cams 15853-16 SMALL Block Chevy Short Travel High RPM Race Hydraulic Roller Lifters - Lifters - Atlantic Speed Warehouse
Solids are a PITA,always needing adjustment and prone to destroying pushrods and rockers if you over-rev missing a gear or something.
I ran solids in a 427 in a '69 but they were easy to get at.
Not the best for a daily driver though unless you like pulling the valve covers a couple times a month or more lol.
