Default SlP Exhaust?

I've been looking at the slp Loudmouth catback system. It says that installation begins from the y pipe back. So does this mean that the Cat needs to be removed, and if so how would the car pass inspection.

I am quite sure it doesn't take the place of the cat too. Even if it did you could still cut the exhaust down to fit. Should be just like any other catback.

i believe the loudmouth resonator itself is mounted in the intermediate pipe after the cat and before the muffler

I was leaning toward the SLP as well. I hit up Youtube and it seemed like the best sound. Since mine is a 95 Z28, it requires the $120 installation kit in addition to the catback.

I listened to Magnaflow clips and found one for $325, shipping included. needless to say, it sounds great on my car.
