My 9185 shows a bunch of info, not sure if it'll do what you're after but I can hook it up and take some pics or a video this weekend if it'll help.

I've really only looked at the temp and RPMs playing around, usually just use it to pull codes. I got it for about $120 on ebay a while back for my OBD II vehicles and I bought the ALDL adapter when I bought my '94 Z.

This is why I was talking about getting the one from tunercat.com, it's the aldl cable, definition file and software, $159. Just add laptop.

lol, I was hoping someone else would chime in and tell me how it works :P Seems to be on the up and up, but I'd like to have a stock flash to put on it just to make sure the PO didn't **** with anything, and go from there. And i have no idea where to look for something like that. I paid $650 to have my WS6 dyno tuned by Ed Wright in Tulsa OK just so I didn't have to deal with any of that, but now at least I get to do it, on a car that didn't cost and the money into what the WS6 did.

If anyone is using this please post. I would love to hear a review. I have been doing some stuff with OBD2 and lap tops. From what I have read OBD 1 back is a lot tuffer to use a lap top with. Skip to the last post in the below link.

You can find older Snapon scanners that can not be upgraded to OBD2 pretty cheap. Also the old Brain Master hand scaners can be bought pretty cheap. These where the standard at the dealerships for hand held scaners in the late 80s.

I've had little luck locating anything that will read my 94 Z, but I will be buying the ALDL and the software tunercat provides next Thursday. I have the assumption I will see a lot of data that i don't know what to do with. I'll try to add something useful once I get it figured out. I'm an IT professional by trade so the software portion shouldn't be an issue, but the rest of it will unless I can find the stock parameters for this car and what the software can and can't do or control.

From what i understand once you have the adapter all you need for it to read your car is the definition file, which I'm not quite sure yet what it contains (in my case, the $EE file)... FreeScan claims to be able to read the 1's and 0's from several vehicles, but it looks like the maker hasn't updated the software in quite some time, and wasn't doing it for american cars to begin with, just cars they had overseas.

Also, I haven't looked into the adapter and software you can get to control with your Droid/iOS device, but it looks really neat. OBDII only I believe. I think the whole system was around $160 for the adapter and the software to display the information on your ipad/pod/droid tablet/phone
