If your 93 is like mine,the temp gage is different then 94+.Ours start at 100,94+ theres start at 160.Ive got a 160 t-sat in my car and have had a scaner on it before at 170 its between the 2nd and 3rd line from the bottom.You can take a infered temp.at the radiator,it will show you i close temp of the water.
