I have a 93' camaro, and for the past couple of weeks if the car sits for a day or so,when i try to crank it, it spits sputters and dies. Then it's almost a pain the *** to get running. It seems like it's fuel related. Any suggestions on possible fixes would be great.

 

Sounds like a dying fuel pump.

 

Fuel pumps either work or not. It sounds more like the infamous optispark might be going.

 

That's also a good possibility. My car started doing that when the optispark was dying also. I've had to replace optisparks about once every 60,000 miles.

 

Me thinketh, the opti is trying to say good bye.

 

Thanx for the replys guys,if i replace the optispark i might as well do plugs and wires also. Any suggestions on good wires and plugs. 93' LT1

 

deff. do the plugs and wires, also look into the msd distributer....i'm going to swap mine to the msd opti...not just cap and rotors
