Default Rear Brake Caliper Issue 95z28

Hey guys I just tore apart the rear brakes on my 95 z28. Just curious if anyone knows how to reset these calipers. I tried pushing them in traditionally and no luck. Theres also some sort of attachment it seems on the outside of the piston. Help please?

attachment should be the e brake. i always push the piston back in before i take the calipers off. stick a big screw driver in there and push it in. careful not to screw up the rotor. have also used a c clamp which is best.

I use a big c-clamp with an old brake pad in place to compress the piston. But, you want to pop off the brake reservoir cover, or open the bleeder on the caliper first. By compressing the piston, you're pushing brake fluid back into the lines, and it needs to have somewhere to go.
