Quick exhaust question.

Default Quick exhaust question.

Im removing my y-pipe later and was wonder if I will be able to re-use the flange gaskets or not?

If there not beat up thay should seal again i have done this with sucsess before.

They aren't expensive, I would think since they've probably never been changed on most vehicles it would be best to just get new ones.

I ended up doing that. I saw the condition the old ones were in and had to lol.

Yea, I would think they would be pretty hard and brittle.

Yep. Actually the drivers side looked like it had been changed before, it looked like a felpro with the adhesive coating on it still but the passenger was just corroded metal. I just went ahead and got both of 'em in order to avoid having to drop the exhaust again later on.

Why were you dropping the crossover pipe though?
