question about rocker arms

ok. i know i have a lot of questions and i dont wanna sound dumb but sometimes you have to to learn anything.
so if i get my pcm tuned by the guy in the link how do i know that it is going to be a better tune and not a tune that is just one for any other car? i just wanna make sure i am getting whats best and most cost effecient. wouldnt the tune need to be tested a few times and played with to get the most out of it? or am i just reaching up into expensive territory?
i really appreciate all the info you guys are giving me. i am just trying to get this right and for the lowest cost without being too cheap.

you need to go do some reading on his site. the tune is not picked from a data base but is talored to your setup. also can get free fine tune after you provide a data log. can also go with the self tune and he will send you cables and such and he emails you tune, you then can do data log and retune. shoot a email to him, very nice guy.

thanks for the good info crabby. and thanks for the link tig.
i am pretty sure i am going to have the tune done through the link once i get the money i know its not a lot but i gotta scrounge sometimes.
and i'm not gonna change my rocker arms without getting new pushrods and new valve springs. i wanna do it right. and if i'm gonna do that i might as well throw in a cam while i am at it but this is way down the road for me.
thanks again for the info and the links guys it is really appreciated.

ok thanks for the info guys.
would i have better luck going to a dyno in my local area and having them do a custom tune and have solid numbers? i am just uncomfortable sending off my pcm to someone and have them install a cookie cutter map on my pcm. i am just trying to get the most for my money. i dont really know about the local areas around where i live. but i plan on doing research and finding out how much they cost. a plus to the dyno would be solid numbers but i dont really wanna shell out a bunch more for about the same numbers.

you don't send out the pcm. You connect a cable, log data and later a tune is emailed to you and you flash the computer using the cable and a laptop
and you don't have a boosted car or spraying and trying to run pump gas and need an exact tune. you will be more than fine using Solomon

not to tough to measure to see where your contact point is with stock rods. https://camaroforums.com/forum/93-02...-length-51829/

I bought the adjustable pushrod, checked my length and still ended up with 7.2". I don't know anyone who changed the length for a simple rocker swap.
