OVERHEATING CAN BE CAUSED BY A NUMBER OF THINGS, IS YOUR CAR LEAKING COOLANT OUT ANYWHERE BESIDES THE RESIVOIR LIKE THE WEEP HOLE ON THE WATER PUMP? OR YOU CAN ALSO DO A PRESSURE TEST AND SEE IF YOUR COOLANT SYSTEM IS HOLDING PRESSURE. SOMETIMES IT CAN BE AS SIMPLE AS CHANGING THE RADIATOR CAP... OR ANOTHER POSSIBILTY IS THAT THERE IS AIR TRAPPED IN THE SYSTEM WHICH NEEDS TO BE BLED OUT..

Have you changed your coolant lately? If you did it yourself, check the bleed screws and make sure there is no air in the system, like 97fire said, that will cause it to overheat quicker than ever.

Did u check to see if the fans come on when the temp is hot?? You can have the coolant tested at a good radiator shop and they can tell if combustion gases are getting into the cooling system. This is a good way to determine if you have a blown head gaskt.
