optispark
ok what optispark should i get the dynaspark or the msd pro billet one? i gotta replace it and i only want the best. i had only replaced the "cap and rotor" before with the msd one and i still have my missfire. fuel pressure is good, spark plugs are new, wires are good, coil is msd blaster. so i think my problem lies within my 94000 mile optispark. oh another question what size are the STOCK AC delco spark plug wires? like 7mm? 7.5?

RE: optispark
i bought it online and its the hardest thing ever to do. not really but it sucks. especially cause the little bolts broke and i had to drill and tap em out. i shoulda just bought a whole new optispark in the first place when i did that.

RE: optispark
The word is that the MSD unit is the best one, but it hasn't been around long enough to really know. They said the same about the GM units when they firs came out in 92, till they started dying a few years later. Whatever you do, change the whole thing, not just the cap and rotor, and keep the thing dry.

RE: optispark
Yeah go for the MSD it says you get a few degrees of timing adjustment with the top of the line version. At a cost of $300 just for an OEM unit might as well spend a little extraand see what the MSD has got, however I have had VERY good luck with the Del-Tec coil pack conversions with MSD box.
