I have a 95 z28. A couple months ago my car started hesitating , i didnt know when the plugs and wires were changed last so i replaced them. even after that the car smoothed out a little bit execpt when i hit the gas hard it will stall out unless i do it gradually . The other day i drove home no problems. got back in my car a couple hours later and the hesitation is unbelievable . the whole car shakes wether im idiling or trying to accelerate. it just spits and sputters throughout the whole rpm range i have a 6 speed by the way. once up to speed with my foot very litghtly on the gas to maintain speed it'll buck bad . i have no idea what is causing this please help. im not getting any codes or ses light either.

 

opti is a possibility, though it also sounds like it could be a fuel issue.

How many miles are on the car?

 

I changed the fuel filter about 5000miles ago but i will have to get a gauge to check pressure. is there a fuel pressure regulator that could be bad or more likely the pump

 

This thing is so bad now that when i drive i accelerate , push the clutch in and let it cruise till i have to speed up again . please any more ideas , this is my only car right now. any ideas are greatly appreaciated

 

sounds like an opti. change water pump while your at it. u had it scanned for trouble codes. a list of things it could be. opti, ignition modual, coil, spark plugs, plug wires, bad ground connection, bad wireing connection, prom, ecu. some of these u have already replaced. i am starting to have a similar issue and think its the ecu. i currently show a bad prom on the scann but i just replaced it so thats why im thinkin ecu. far as that goes im not sure u have a prom. without trouble codes it may be a fuel problem or not. fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator.

 

well changed opti today . seems to have fixed all the problems . hopefully i dont have to do this anytime soon again . thanks for all you'll help
