Well, that explains everything. Yes, it will work.
And I spose I don't have to tell you how it sucks that the guy didn't keep the original aluminum heads!

 

well my car eats the z28's with the aluminum heads alive! the guy told me they used to run nitrous on the car and it burned up the aluminum heads so the put the iron head motor in it. but like i said i beat the aluminum head z28's all day long.

but is the newer style opti easier to install then the old style one????

 

you beat up on regular z's all day? something about that sounds fishy...either they don't know they're racing or something has been done to your motor

 

replacing the opti is the same. pita

 

With lower performance heads, and carrying the extra weight of iron heads on top of it? Hmmmmm, I smell fish too.

 

the only things my car has had done to it that i know of is that it has a cold air intake with a k&n filter, 3" exhuast with a flowmaster muffler, its lowered 2 inches. its really surprising to me too but my car will beat aluminum head z28s. and i got the car from a guy that didnt much much about it so if more work has been done to it i dont know.

 

fish,,,,, somebody say fish.... were? look at the ends of the heads and see if there are any sigs from a p & p place.
