Do you have a blow torch? Heat it up good and cook it. There is an o-ring on the pump shaft and the shaft on the engine. The one on the pump must have fused the parts together. Give it a meltdown. When putting it back together, be sure to replace the o-rings. I also greased up the splines on both shafts so that it wouldn't make any chatter noise (just in case it might).

It is possible that a little water got in the coupler and allowed some rust to form and bond it to the pump shaft. If that is the case, then concentrated heat is your best bet for breaking it loose.

You can get a small propane torch and tank at any hardware store. Look in the plumbing aisle or ask for the kit to solder copper pipes with. That is really all you will need.

i dont think they are made anymore, thats why they cost so much.
10128334 - Water Pump Drive Shaft Coupling
$40.50 Sale

RMS Auto Parts

i think i have a used one around here but u should be able to get that one off with some persuasion. heat should work but if not and u have a vice put the coupler in the vice and put a screw driver inside the coupler and drive the shaft out.
