I was wondering what when you guys start your car is your oil pressure start around 60 and as you drive drop down to like 20 at idle and run around 40?

My oil guage always does that. Whenever I start the car the pressure is good, if I stop the pressure drops, and when it runs its about halfway in between. Ive had my pressure checked before and everything came out ok. Is it maybe just another LT1 fluke?

It is normal for oil pressure to drop as the engine gets hot due to the fact that oil thins out at high temp. Oil pressure readings are only meaningful when the engine and the oil are fully warmed up.
According to the FSM the minimum oil pressure at running temperature for an LT1:
1000 RPM 6 PSI
2000 RPM 18 PSI
4000 RPM 24 PSI
Seems to me that when you get these readings the engine is pretty well worn out. By rule of thumb, the oil pressure on a sound engine using the recommended viscosity oil, should increase by 10 PSI every 1000 RPM.

it's my experience that when the oil pressure gets like that it usally means that your rings are about wore out and it's about time for a rebuild , that why when test driving any car you always make sure you get the oil good and warm prior to deciding on your purchase that way you have a rough idea on the way the motor in the vechile is prior to purchase. Beware of the car lot that only will let you go around the block in the car and not let you take it to your mechanic to check it out.Again I have a 95 z-28 and had the problems you speak of when I pulled the motor to rebuild the rings were shot , so keep this in mind.
