clutch and flywheel
My clutch will need to be replaced soon, since the last owner did a decent job of glazing it for me. I want to upgrade to a clutch with a stronger grip. I will eventually add a supercharger, but it may be next year. since a clutch should last several years ( with regular street driving not drag launching) I would rather just pay for one clutch that will be able to handle the added power later. I doubt I would need an unsprung 6 puck ( or the equivalent) but since I am new to muscle ( coming from tuners) I need some input as to what stage clutch handles what HP. Also how much stiffer is the clutch pedal with the different clutches. This is my daily driver so I would like something reasonable.
For the flywheel, How much lighter should I go. How light is too light? I want to be able to reduce the rotational mass and get more of the HP to the ground rather than wasting it on spinning the flywheel up to speed. I know that too light will cause the engine to drop rpms too much while shifting, so it does need some weight.
What name brands are good.

Thanks for the help

Perfect for your application. I would just lighten it maybe 5 lbs at the most to make it still comfortable to drive around on the street.

Try McLeod. They have the best clutch in the business bar none. If You could get ahold of one of their catalogs, it's a wealth of tech information about the right clutch for the application. Pro Stock and Nascar have been using them forever.
