I have a 95 z28, I have been popping up an occasional check engine light. soon as I turn the car off it goes away. I am assuming it is a o2 sensor.

heres my question part. finding someone to read the codes sucks. everyone can read the 96 up obd2 codes but not as many can read the obd 1. the engines are the same. I think. I know the 96-97 have a bit more horsepower than the 94-5.

could i put in a computer from a 96-7 in it?
would there be a hp bump? is the extra hp in the tune or the engine?

the 95 is a wierd year, it has a obd 1 computer but a obd2 hook up.
chances are I'll never do this but am curious.

 

Changing computer won't accomplish anything. The 96 & 97 make more power because they use dual cats instead of a single cat as was done for the 93 to 95 cars.
