im getting codes on my 97 z28 for 1 of the o2 sensors p0144 and p0145 but im still running in closed loop does this sound right i thought if one of the o2 sensors go bad it will run in open loop

 

i think doesnt it depend on if its bank 1 or bank 2 thats bad?

 

im thinking that sensor 1 bank 3 is located in back behind the muffler or you have only three 02s and 3 is the one to the back of the cats and after the y pipe where the exhaust is one pipe. gona have to climb under and have a look at the exhaust and count your 02's. bank 1 is on number one cylinder (driver) side bank 2 is on the number 2 cylinder (passenger) side.

 

sorry i got the codes wrong its p0155 and p0154 witch is bank 2 sensor 1

 

that would be problems with the passenger side 02 sensor that is to the front of the cat. check wires and or replace.
P0154 02 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 1)
P0155 02 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 2 Sensor 1)

 

ok here is a wierd turn of events i had a heater hose blow on me this weekend right at the clamp at the water pump so i was able to just cut an inch off and slip it back on but when the belt got wet it started slipping real bad to the point that i lost my power stearing while fixing the hose i noticed that the belt is shot it craked in half real brittle so i changed the belt and the cel light goes off does this make sense to anyone maybe the belt was slipping so bad i had low volts cause the car starts up faster and my volt gauge is reading over 13 volts now by the way ive only had this car about 2 weeks i do take care of my cars very well and would never let some thing as small as a belt degrade that far
