Default o2 sensor?

ok so my cars been throwing a check engine light when in the on position but not running. it was for an o2 sensor, i replaced the driver side and nothing happened. so i just replaced the passenger side before cat and it was still there, i drove around a little while and it seemed the same. then it started to hesitate really really really bad and the check engine light came on. wth is wrong? ill post codes in the afternoon. it ran fine a short while afterwords through my little back roads. also if this could be it, i only tightened it by hand since crows feet are a pita. ill tighten it this afternoon as well. any ideas?

the 02 sensor needs to have a good ground. tighten the 02 and see what happens. also what kind of 02 did you use? stock oem sensor is the best. some of the aftermarket sensors dont last for some reason. i bought two cheap ones from the local parts store and they lasted for a couple days. took me the better part of a week to figure out the 02 were failing. fouled out my new plugs. unhooking the battery will clear the codes so read them before unhooking.

list the codes and we ll go from there.

Code is 'random misfire detected'. I'm going to go tighten it now.

funny, but cant put sims in place of before cats. or i would, i felt it and it wiggles a bit so that's more than likely the problem. i cant work on her since it just started with the bad weather but after a drive it runs great. i checked the plugs just in case and they appear to be fine though not replaced in who knows how long. ill reset the pcm and tighten it tomorrow but that's probably it.
