i changed the year model to a 97 and map and maf started giving me a reading but coolant temp sensor went to -41 degrees.coolant temp was accurate when 96 was in the scantool. i think my snap on scantool has a problem going to try and borrow another one

 

if its running that rich you should be getting a code for rich af from the 02, if not then it could be in the 02s. you can test the temp sensor with a ohm meter. http://www.shbox.com/1/4th_gen_tech2.html#ect

 

well i finally got the car straightened out it ended up being a stuck open injector and a bad scantool.thanks for the help
