Newbie need help
it's deep breath time
walk yourself through the history
prior to performing the repair, did the vehicle barely run as it is now? I will venture to guess that it did run
You have now replaced the wp and opti along with wires
did you also replace the plugs?
do you have stock exhaust manifolds?
first- don't fret about the balancer.
next, you claim that you are sure the opti went on correctly. If you try hard enough, you can force on the opti incorrectly but you will know that it's going on wrong because it's being forced. If it popped on easily, and was flush, then it should be fine. Don't worry, my first few times I got the opti on easily. The last few times I was messing around up front and went to re-install the opti I couldn't get it to line up. A cup of coffee, a little bs'ing with another guy and back to the opti and it went right on.
So, if we are sure the opti is on correctly, your only other suspects, if the opti is on and is also a good opti, must be wires connected incorrectly, not seated properly onto the spark plugs or you have spark plugs not in correctly or the cable(s) not "clicked" or "popped" onto the plugs
remember, it worked prior to the repairs just done, so it's something you did.
Also check to be sure that you didn't mess up the connector or pins on the opti harness

Thanks for the help!!
I been so busy with starting back at school this week. But ima look at it one more time today when i finish at school.
The vehicle ran great before i started working on it. Just had a little overheating problem.
I did not replace the plugs and the car is completely stock!!
These MSD cables are straight crap!! my number 1 wire on the passenger side is too short. I wrapped it as close to the block as i can and i dont think its all the way plugged in. Also the wires dont fit good on the plugs. I accidently knocked one off just by bumping it. Ima check the wires one more time...and then put the old ones back on to see.
Can you give me more detail on the connector or pins on the opti harness..not sure what that is???????

if the plug wires are falling of then they are not on all the way. gotta push hard on em and they have to be lined up right to click into place. the short wires both go on the driver side. you needed to keep track of the wires as they came off the car so you could compare them to the msd wires so you could pick the ones that are the same or close to the same length. they are a close fit so you can not get them in the wrong place or another might not fit.
Well I played with the car for about 4 hours today...I pushed on all the plugs and made sure they were connected. The side of the wire that connects to the spark plug doesn't seem to want to connect very well. So I decided to take the MSD plugs off and put the stocks back on. The car is still doing the same thing.
With school back started I don't have the time to mess with it, so it's going to Thunder Racing, a local performance shop! After they fix it I'll let y'all know what went wrong!
Thanks for the help!
