the 93 shift is controlled by the memcal and the speed sensor and tv/throttle position to determine when to shift.

The governor only know output shaft RPMs. You should be able to put any gears in rear you want with no effect on the shift points from a engine RPM perspective. Of course the change in gears could effect how much you press the gas and that would effect the shift points. Adjusting the TV cable a little would make more sense to counter act the effects of the gear change.

When you say you added a weight you mean you changed the weights to different ones? Or you added something that was designed to be added? The governor is a very precision and delicate device. Any out of balance would work for a little while then ruin the governor and possibly the bore of the governor which could require a complete tear down to fix.

Gorn, I grabbed another Gov out of another 700r that had more weight visually than mine. Well mine had none actually. (man did i ever want to say I glued some marbles to it, lol).
I'm talking WOT here with the 323's it shifted at 5250 1-2, 2-3(I can see it with datamaster and the tach), now 5800+ with the 410's, no other changes cept a new waterpump. I will check out the tv cable. That new drive gear and new converter should be here shortly, Ill do it all at once. For now I'm happy with it. Thanks.

You would be amazed I things I have seen when I was at the dealership. My all time favorite was the high school kid with a new 88 Iroc, his friend told him the car would be faster if he got rid of all that emission crap, so he cut out the ECM. Every single wire on a car with 3K on it.
