check the fuse to the air pump. if ok, unplug the air pump at the pump. reset the computer by unhooking the battery for a few minutes. start and run untill it runs bad. scann again for codes. take plugs out and see if they are fouled. check 02 sensors to see if they are fouled. if either are fouled change. check fuel pressure, test evap sytem. check air filter. what plugs are in the car? lt1 does not like bosch plugs.

if the plugs are all black change em. what kind of autolites. i have not had any luck with any autolites. i would recommend ngk iridiums or platinums. did you flash the codes or scan for them with a scanner. if you didnt flash for codes try, i will sometimes get a different code flashing than i would scanning. pull the ecu out and see if you have water inside also check to see if it has an aftermarket chip in between the prom and ecu.

just so you know the ecu is not easy to find for the 93 z28, manual trans ecu is easier to find than the auto.

Yea i know that the autolights are a bad plug i do plan on changing them tnks for the heads up on the good ones.Yes i did the flash test on my codes and all im getting is a code 26 but i dont see that code making the car run so rough,o just so you know the motor has been out before i bought it i do have a few wires that dont conn any were on the car but like i was saying in my 1st post it ran asome for the 1st 2weeks,and no i havnt pulled the computer out yet but that will happen because i did take the car to the carwash and the aftermarket hood scoop thats on the car may have let that ECU to get wet,if so would it have ruinned it because me and my mecanic is thinking ECU,Because when you start it 20 sec later the fans come on and the engine tone changes meaning its in a closed loop.Right? Can you sugg somewhere i could find a ECU im running a t56 manuel....1993 vin p..Again tnks and anymore info could really help, maybe when i get back the way it was we can take a cruis...LOL..

you may also have a tune gone bad. when you pull the computer and take the prom cover off you will see if it has a tune. need to see what ecm and prom you have. look at the numbers on the ecm, like 15169278 also the prom code mine is bdzl but i am an auto.
