What kind of mechanic you have that states 32 hours at $60.00 per hour for a total $1920.00 LABOR FOR AN ENGINE SWAP? PLUS ENGINE COST...
This "mechanic" needs four 8 hour days to swap parts to a long block after pulling the blown engine and after parts are on the engine install the replacement?
I have done the same swap with my buddy in one day with air tools.....
Suggestion?
Go to the hobby shop on base and ask around for some one who is good and knows what they are doing to do the swap for you..

Yeah, if he doesnt comply im going to tell my 1sg and division legal he should be on the black list (soldiers arent allowed to go there or do business with him) which will take away some of his business. and ill go to the newspaper, tv news, bbb, everyone. someone will eventually listen and ill be able to pretty much force him out of business if he doesnt comply. i mean hes got one logical road out... i dont want to sue him for everything hes got i just want to get my car fixed.. i mean hell if the engine has 140k then the tranny more than likely does too and i didnt pay for a car with 140k on anything.. id settle for the engine but a transmission replacement would be ideal... i dont want a new motor and old trans...
