also do not manually shift an auto tranny, just put it in overdrive, and let it do the rest. I just got a brand new tranny, clutches, and stall converter put into my car cause i f-ed up my last one. I knew the guy so he didn't charge me labor but it did cost me $3,200 for a new tranny and a stall and clutch upgrade.

Does it shift when as soon as you shift it? If not, you might want to get a valve body recalibration (shift kit)kit to make it an automatic/manual valve body so it puts less stress on the transmission.

There is no need to manually shift a computer controlled transmission such as the one in your car. The computer knows when an how to shift better than you do. Never the less, your transmission is ready for major repairs, and a shift kit may help temporarily, but it will start slipping again fairly soon.
