SCREW LT1's. Now the damn thing won't even start after the teardown. Advanced the cam. New opti new plugs for the third time. Anyone want brand new parts.

 

Parting out new motor trans etc etc etc. Ask for pricing.

 

so you took it to a shop and they couldnt figure it out with a diognostic hookup? i dont have a no start chart for a 97 or i would have posted it a long time ago. anyways you do what you gota do. i feel for ya man. summit wont take the opti back?

Not only could it not be figured out but it's been torn down twice built three times and they've had the car since the week before thanksgiving. On top of that I've installed 3 optisparks all new sensors. Everything then tore it back apart redegreed cam. Etc etc. Read full thread. Now after the last teardown the car won't run at all it it's fouled three sets of plugs. Back fires through the exhaust. Etc etc. My opinion is the shop advanced the cam to much after the tear Down. Which I questioned when they told me. They went from neg 2 to pos 3. In top of that the static compression test still only read 115 on all cylinders. The damn car only has 200 hp off all brand new parts. So I will be parting the car out due to lack of funding to fix. I've already spent 17k almost 18k in parts and labor. I've should have just bought at new camaro.

 

oh boy, that shop made some coin off of you. where you at? i sure would like a crack at it.

 

This is all new parts build. not used. Except computer.
