If I had access to a affordable dyno I would of did some before and after runs. But they want an arm and leg, and you have to pay for at least an hour. I was getting about 18-22 in town MPG, and I just checked today and it was at 26.5 for the past week and a half. If I had to guess HP, I'd say about 5+. The best benefits, IMO, are the fact that you don't have the voltage going though the opti, the idle is so much smoother and Throttle response all around is much smoother and stronger.

Looks awesome, I hope to convert to this system when its time for an Opti. I just cant convince myself to take apart a perfectly good running vehicle at this point.

Edit: Oh and the fact that I need tow systems doesnt help either!

I doubt it, didn't even know they had those. They just heat up or what?

i went with the three wired ones cause i already had em for a truck i had a while back, i think the 4 wire are cheaper but dont know. yah they heat them up to operating temp faster, i am thinking mine may have not gotten to 400 degrees at all with the exhaust and headers and bigger everything the air is going by faster and the 02's are farther away from the motor. seems to be helping the rich condition, wont know for sure for a while but it is running smoother and is idling better.

The conversion looks great. Ive seen where people were doing the full PCM conversion but never the coils with the stock computer. This seems like it will be much less work the only advantage to the LS1 PCM is the tune-ability of the computer. As well as being able to go to speed density. But never the less a very cool swap you deff. have me thinking on it. Anyone know the advantage of doing this vs a msd 6al on the opti as far as power goes.

Also do you still have the LT1 TB plate?

I would think it's a better deal than the msd 6al, because your pushing more current through the opti with the msd. And that will just wear it out faster. I used to have a holly box comparable to the msd and I didn't notice any difference with that.

I don't have the TB plate anymore.
