LT1 Swap question
I have a 97 camaro RS (V6). I was told that i could do a v8 swap without changing anything else as long as i use a motor that wouldve been put in that year if it was a V8. Which would be the lt1. Is this true? Also i live in Massachusetts and it would have to pass inspection

I already posted in your other thread, which is strikingly similar to this, and you're going to get a similar answer: No.
In order to put an LT1 into your car it's recommended that you attain an entire V8 donor car to pull all the parts you need. This includes, but is not limited to, K-member, computer, wiring harness, transmission, etc. It's an involved project and it's not cheap. If you want a V8 car save your money, sell the sixxer and buy a V8 car. In the very least it will save you tons of time, and many headaches, and potentially money.
