Default LT1 Rough at low RPM under load

New to Camaro's - bought a 94 z28 w\ 55k miles a few weeks ago. All the sudden the car started to shake at low rpm when there is a load on the car (brakes on at stoplight, pushing throttle at speed before downshift ect) The car sounds funny as if it is missing on 1 cylinder. This started happening after driving in the rain - can the opti get wet from just driving? I tried to avoid every puddle possible.. Let me know what things I should look for - as I am at a loss of where to start. Thanks!

Hello and congrats on scoring a low mile car! I have the same one and since this car has very limited diagnostic capabilities you may have to keep running it until you can get the check engine light to come on and give you a code to work with. It may be worth your time to inspect the spark plug wires especially at the plug end for a loose or damaged connection. Of couse the opti's do go bad but your problem could be anything at this point. Another problem area is the intake bellow/boot at the throttle body. They are difficult to properly install and it is possible that it is torn or not fully on at the bottom of the throttle body. Good luck

start with new plugs an see what happens. if the wires look old and cracked replace also. mine would not even run and i replaced the plugs and ran like a champ.
