2500 is a start. lol gaskets will run 400, headers, 500 to 900. cat back exhaust 400 to 1000, heads redone 400 to 1500. intake ported 200. 52mm tb 250, 30lb injectors 275, cai 200, depending on the condition of the block, crank, pistons and what u want to do the lower end could run from 300 to 3000. better tell dad the cost of cutting the grass just went up 500% lol, yah im sure he spent way less on a set of gaskets. or any of this stuff. this aint a regular chevy small block and with little effort u will be watchin him in the rear view mirror. lol.

With all the work I just have done to mine (94 Z28) I completely did a performance rebuild on my lt1 and 4l60e tranny. I have spent with 1300 in labor costs which you probably won't have with your dad it has cost me about $5,600. Hopefully the performance I get is worth it.

I sent lt1 engine to Grooms in Tenn for stock rebuild for 2350 (shipping & tax included) with lifetime - unlimited mile warranty incl. Add another 1000 for sensors, all hoses, belt, water pump, spark plugs&wires, harmonic balancer, tranny filter, paint, ect... It will be good experience for you and you will take better care of your Camaro after alot of sweat, plus you will appreciate your Father more too, become a mature man yourself.
