Default LT1 Engine swap 96 to 93

I found some damage when tearing down a 96 lt1 from a z28, and have come across an unbelievable deal on a running good compression strong 1993 lt1 from a friend's Z28 he is turning into a trailer queen for dragstrip duty... my question is, what do I need to do to make the 93 work properly in my 96 body, i understand sensors and such, but will the cam work with the 96 opti, or do I need to change that too? or is it all just drop in? I have searched endlessly for the past 5 or 6 hours on this forum and ImpalaSSforum and found nothing useful to my purpose, please help with what you know.
Thank you in advance.

Assuming you want to keep the 96 PCM and opti, in adition of changing all the sensors on the 93 to 96 spec, you will need a 96 front cover and a 96 cam or replace the distributor drive pin on the 93 cam to the longer 96 style or replace the camshaft. The injectors on the 93 are smaller, so you may want to upgrade them to 96 size tyo keep the PCM happy. Also make sure you carry over the MAF sensor from the 96 because the 93 did not use one.
