For your intake, I'd go with K&N or Moroso, both make a good product, I got the Moroso because it was a bit cheaper. For your cat-back, really the one that you like the sound and looks of best. And visually my car is stock except for 17x9.5" chrome Z06 wheels and my chrome exhaust tips(which you can't see).

I can tell you what I did and in what order, and where I wish I had done something different

first thing I did was do qa1 shocks all around with Tractek lower control arms and brackets. The control arms are nice, the relocation brackets are a must have, the shocks I could have better spent the money on a set of headers.I did the intake next, which was a lid package for me since im LS1. Intake should just always be one of the first mods. easy to do, yeilds some gains, and opens the motor up for bigger mods later on. In fact, I would recommend always starting with full boltons for all the reasons above before doing much else. the car had a catback and catted Y pipe when I got it.

as you can see, I went nitrous earlier than my previous advice, but especially if you dont know how you want to build the car its best to just start with the boltons because you will need them anyway. I plan on doing headers next then saving up for a 9" rear end. once the rear gets in (in probably 3 years [&o]) I will save for a cam and fuel mods (really I think only the pump needs upgraded as everything else is more than capable of handling the power of cam+spray).

thats just my plans, and they are for ls1, but the same things can work for you too. the key is to always identify your car's weakest point and open that up or strengthen it. Intake restrictive? replace it. manifolds restrictive? get headers. motor itself? cam and head work. drivetrain strained? new rear end and aluminum driveshaft. not enough fuel? pump and or injectors (maybe fuel rails and fuel pressure regulator, im not sure about the lt1's fuel capabilitiess) so on and so forth with Fbodies, I think that is usually the regular plan of attack. Once u get full boltons you can decide to do a supercharger rather than cam/head, or turbo. we are talking considerably more money, but you need to take care of the basics before these mods will help much (except that a turbo comes with all your intake and exhaust needs.

don't you want this to be YOUR car? not ours? there isn't really a specific order that matters tha tmuch when it comes to bolt ons.

True, the order for bolt-ons really doesn't matter that much, but typically people go in order of price, which would lay out: intake, cat-back, header/y pipe for the major ones.

i was just talking standards, the only thing I really said was not to go internal until you have the supporting boltons

thanks for the advice guys....and of course im going to do my own thing with it, but since i have little to no knowledge about cars.....period.....i wanted to ask. like i dont know what cams or catbacks or any of that are. i honestly just was looking for some help on repairing my radiator hose, and found this site. then i went and fixed the hose myself, and it was kind of an epiphany....i really want to take care of this car....i already got a new engine in there.....cuz my old one cracked because of a stupid folly on my part....so i wanted to start out slow as of right now because of limited money, and then expand from there, and prolly get some other cars and do the same.. so really, i dont have any idea about anything....so i figure i would ask people who know more than me.....so thanks in advance!
