Default le2 setup

im saving to get the le2 set up from llyod. he gave me a list of things ill need to make this work.
CAI
exhaust
1.6 roller rockers
push rods
30lbs fuel injectors
stall converter
tune
timing chain

all this stuff together is pretty pricey and im a right now type of person. is all this a must before i get the le2? or can i get the le2 and get this this stuff over time (maybe a month later)? this isnt my daily driver but i do drive it around. what do you recommend?

Get the stuff first then do the work. If you put the engine in then get goodies like a stall converter, timing chain, or the rockers you are going to have to pull the engine apart, or the trans out to get the stuff in and done properly. Timing covers are not fun to change in car and have a bad habbit of leaking after you are done. Things like the CAI and exhaust can be done later. Remember this is all gonna need a tune to run right, your LT1 profile will get you started but not running as good as you can.

yeah he told me just about the same thing, and i told him i wanna get a 396 forged lt1 with le2 heads and p/p intake by him, so he can make a custom size cam for my future build. you can tell him what you want from the car. ie-street rod, drag car, nice cruiser, etc. and you can get a cam from him or he can design a cam to your likings.
