LE parts ordered...
Well, I've got some updates. Yesterday we started the tear-down process, and we didn't get quite as much done as I had hoped. But I think the worst of it is over now...
We tried to disconnect the exhaust from the cat. back, but the wonky setup made it impossible to reach one nut. So after a good half hour of not getting anything done, we pulled out the sawzall and had it off in no time. :P
Next we started pulling things off the engine, intake tubing/rad cover, just the quick things. Then we started to go after the manifolds. Got the driver side pretty much completely off, the front three bolts are still in, to hold it up. They'll come out in five minutes. But the passenger side...that's another story. Before I get into it though, I feel the need to tell you guys that at one point in time, the entire exhaust was replaced by someone who had no idea what they were doing.
The furthest back manifold bolt was missing. Not ever installed. So that one was easy to 'take out'. :P The next was a one inch bolt, while the rest were 3/4 in. After that there was a stud/nut. And from there on we aren't sure, it was getting way too dark to keep going.
But we hit a major road block in the passenger side O2. It will not for the life of us come out! we tried PB blaster, a torch, and two of the biggest wrenches we have. Anybody have a secret to getting these things out? :P
I'll try to get pics of the progress up before we start today.

Well, I think we've decided to just buy a new o2. It's like 20 bucks at autozone. :P
Yesterday we went shopping. Got a fuel line disconnect tool, and had to call it early because of some pretty intense storms. Today will probably be even less productive, because I work the second shift.
But tomorrow I'm hoping to have the intake and maybe even the heads off.

well the weathers been crazy recently here in jersey we've had lik 5-6 storms that have been insane alot of fires and down trees from lightning. keep on movin forwards i no that sometimes things take longer than wanted.
as far as i know u need em for both. i got my heads and intake in at el getting the ls2 job too going with the max emission cam. the fuel pressure is better up in the 40 range if u have the computer tuned for it. higher pressure makes a finer spray which makes a better burn but if the computer is not aware of the higher pressure it will go wack on ya. check out tpsi s set up for the pressure regulator.
