Well, we'll just have to see what Lloyd sends me. haha

I'm having him provide the intake core as well.

Whammer: Okay. I'll for sure go with comps then; they're cheaper too!

Default Update

Well, I haven't posted much in this thread for a little while, and there have been some developments.

I recieved a big box from Summit, as well as a long thin box from Bullet Racing Cams (Yay!) and my current need-to-buy list is: pushrod length checker, pushrods (after length is checked...), cam degree wheel, injectors, PCMforless tune, mufflers, header bolts, and misc. gaskets that I don't wnat to buy until I know for sure I need them. Meaning I'll probably end up getting them from R&K during the tear down/rebuild if I need them.

Current estimated budget for an entire top end rebuild+custom true duals: $3600 (rounding up on some numbers. )

Yep!

Now, one thing that I just can't seem to figure out (and kinda need to for the PCMforless part) is what 30# SVO injectors are rated at. I can get them for $200-$240 bucks, which saves me $40-$80. But I can't figure out what fuel pressure they're rated at. Lloyd told me 37 psi, 75% of my own research says 40 psi, and a very small amount has told me 43.5 psi just like in our cars.
Anybody have definitive proof/knowledge? It's pretty much the only thing holding up my PCMfor less ordering! haha

It's all coming! Once pretty much everything is together, I'm gonna take pics of all the big power making parts, as well as pics of the whole process. Another walk-through can't hurt!

Any guesses on ETs/traps?

So what do you guys suggest for break-in period?

I'm not getting into the bottom end, so I don't need to worry about rings being seated. So what do you guys think, one heat cycle - change oil, another heat cycle with varying rpms - change oil, and finally about 500 miles of normal driving - change oil, Beat the **** out of it for a li'l bit......change oil. :P
