just test drove a 95 z28
seems straight as far as i can tell. only questions are -
SES came on while driving it. my bmw has the cats deleted and then it gave me constant CEL, so i'm asking if the cat's are deleted on this z28, would it throw the SES light? or could it be something else?
it drove fine, he said it hadn't been driven for a while, first time i started it, it started fine, i just let it idle for a few seconds and slightly revved the engine, then i shut it off to check the oil. then we went to test drive it, and i started it, but then it just kinda died(it turned over and everything, but the rpm's just dropped and it turned off) after that it started up just fine. when i drove it, i (almost)floored it maybe 5 or 6 times, the second time i (almost)floored it though, it slightly hesitated. i'm guessing this is something to do with the old fuel or maybe just needs a new fuel filter? at the very most maybe new spark plugs?

u need to take it to find out why the ses light came on. or do it yourself. easy to do. example would be an opti. to pay a shop to replace an opti is 1k or better. do it your self 3 to 5 hundred for an decent opti and gaskets.
A 95 won't throw an SES light for no cat since it's OBD-I. On the other hand if it hasn't been driven for a while the old fuel could be causing problems with running, and it's possible the opti is going bad, but that's probably a worst case scenario.
