lol, no such thing as a V4, at least in the domestic world.
I'm 25 and recently got my own policy. I pay about $750/6 months for both a 97 Z28 and an 06 Grand prix. Full coverage on both.

When I was young (16), I had an '89 Firebird formula. Here's the key to having cheaper insurance when you're young and own a sports car.
(1) The car should be titled primarily in one of your parents' names (your name can be on the title as a secondary owner though)
(2) Insure the car under your parents' policy.
(3) DO NOT have them put you on your camaro/sports car as the principle driver. Normally the mother is the cheaper between the parents as principle driver, but that can depend on age and traffic violation history. Have your parents put you as principle driver on the oldest, ****tiest vehicle your family owns. If you do not have an old ****ty vehicle, have your parents add to the policy that you are allowed to drive any car on the policy, you just will not be assigned as principle driver on any.

That should help out quite a bit with rates. Good luck!

when i was first shopping around for my camaro i called my insurance company and got a quote for a 98 ss. idk how but i manage to get to the point that it was per month 75 for basic and somewhere around 150 for full coverage. now i have my 87 z28 and it started at 75 a month and now im only paying 60 a month. not too concerned about full coverage. i leave lots of room when driving and dont do stupid crap anymore....well not when i dont have a lot of room. and that is on my own policy with only my name on the pink

Sorry bout the change in subject again....
A Cavalier v4 engine? Any reference to that engine that I've seen all points to the special 2.4L "Ecotec" dual overhead cam engine. Could it be that the V4 designation is being used to distinguish between the "dual overhead cam" and the "single below-head cam" versions? If you do a search, the v4 turns up a lot, even with companies that sell engines.
