The insurance on our Camaro cost $230 for the 6 months (or $38.33 a month) of the year we drive it, which is May through October. Then $10 or $12 a month from November through April. We have liability, comp which is fire, theft and glass but don't have collision. The comp was only an extra $4 or $5 a month. Total cost is about $300 a year.

November through April the liability coverage is dropped so we can't drive the car on the road. All the other coverage remains. It lets me keep my plates and registration current. In New York State we have to turn our plates in if we don't have insurance. This way I don't have to!

I pay $200 for 6 months, and $12 for the other 6 months it's stored. They require it to be stored in a garage for that price, but it's garaged all year at night, so that's OK.

40 a month with good coverage for collision and a few other things. Age also plays a part in this so if you're OVER 25 (most states I think) it will go down.
