Alright heres the story, my 97 z28 will start up and idle at about 1500, but as soon as i hit the gas it will jump to 2000 and idle there for the rest of the period it is running for. I know i have one egr valve not functioning properly, but i was wondering if it could actually be the idle air control, and maybe that was sticking or perhaps the t/b is sticking open. I was wondering because my exhaust is mind bogglingly loud so i feel like an ******* when i come home late because i know EVERYONE hears me. ill try to get picks of some of the egr stuff

oh yeah also it has edelbrock headers, bbk twin58mm t/b, custom 3in exhaust w/o cats, and i think maybe a bigger cam but i bought it with all that stuff also i recently had the water pump, opitspark dist, and a number of leaking hoses fixed

 

Could be a bad TPS, add it to the list of stuff to check .
