A.I.R PUMP ??

A.I.R PUMP ??
I have a 96 z28 SS and I have recently had to replace the AIR pump due to check engine light code. My question is the new pump from Advance Auto Parts did not have the pig tail plug that the old pump did. The wiring on the new pump goes from the built on plug to the inside of the pump. The old pump had a red and orange wire running from the built on plug to the pump and a black wire connected to the pig tail that plugged into the bleed valve. On the shoebox web page the diagram shows the bleed valve only on 96-97 models. Do you think there is another pump that has the built on pig tail or has the wiring been routed differently on the newer pumps? I'm concerned that the check engine light will not go off with this plug missing.
The #2 on this attached link is the pig tail I'm referring to. The new pump did not have this pig tail attached to it. There isn't a way to replace pig tail on the new pump because all of the wires are siliconed into the pump....

Thanks for any help....

RE: A.I.R PUMP ??
Hey thanks for your help. The pump seems to be working because I can feel the air in the tube that attaches to it. The ACDelco site shows the pump and the open plug that the connector attaches to. On the other side of the plug that you cant see is 3-4 wires that run into the pump itself. On the old pump there were 2 black wires from this side of the plug that went into a pig tail that attached to a unit that has a few vacuum hoses on it. This is what I'm wondering about not having on the new pump.
thanks

RE: A.I.R PUMP ??
As far as I know the A.I.R pump blows air in the cat during start up. It is one of the emission waste of parts. It is on the front of motor beside the water pump. They tend to go bad because water gets to them.
