I HAVE A 93 Z28. SOMETIMES WHEN I START THE CAR AND DRIVE I FEEL LIKE THE GAS PEDAL TAKES MORE TO GO DOWN. THIS IS WHEN THE CAR RUNS THE BEST. THEN OTHER DAYS ITS NOT AS HARD AND DONT PICK UP AS GOOD. WHAT DO YALL THINK IT IS?

i kno that if i dont let my car warm up it does that. im thinkin that its kuz the throttle is just stiff from not being used all night.

 

hey texasman you z28 looks just like mines. but i understand what you mean my cars does it too. sometime the engine revs but take a second then takes off. so i not sure what it coud be.

 

WELL IM NEW HERE AND JUST WANT TO LEARN ABOUT THE CARS SO WHEN I BREAKS I KNOW WHAT TO DO. BUT THANKS FOR LETING ME KNOW WHAT YALL THINK. I HAD MY FUEL PUMP REPLACED ABOUT A MONTH AGO. THE CAR WAS RUNING LIKE **** I THOUGHT IT WAS GONNA BE THE OPTI SO I BOUGHT A NEW ONE BUT DIDNT PUT IT IN. I WANTED TO CHANGE MY PLUGS AND WIRES CUZ IM PRETTY SURE THEY STILL HAVE THE ORIGINAL ONES. THE CAR ONLY HAS 87K MILES 83 WHEN I BOUGHT IT. I TRIED BUT I LOOKED LIKE A PAIN IN THE ***. YOU GUYS HAVE AN IDEA OF WHAT A MECHANIC WOULD CHARGE?

 

a mechanic would probally charge an awful lot. just do the plugs yourself. it sucks to do but it is possible. you have to jack the car up and do it from underneath. you will find its a lot easier and you have more room since all of the ignition is underneath the car.
