By "stall the engine" I mean kill it. When a lockup converter is "locked up" it becomes a full mechanical connection internally instead of a fluid connection (normal unlock mode). If your converter doesn't unlock, your engine will kill just as if you had a manual transmission and didn't pop the clutch in at a stop. There will be no slip, and giving it gas at a stop still won't keep the engine from killing unless you're doing a burnout.
And that's why I asked....are you sure it's not unlocking?

 

im sure cause even in 3nd gear sometimes 2nd to i can press the brake pedal and feel it unlock then depress the brake i feel it lockup again ..i went ahead and got a new tcc selonoid since it was cheap lol 32.01 so if this dont fix it atleast ive got a new cheap part that i know works lol.......

no codes that i can see the ses light aint on ..only time it came on was when i unpluged the MAF to see if that was the problem but wont so i hooked it back up and ses light went off..

i noticed some days the tranny will shift hard like it use to then other days it shifts slow as hell lol

how did u look for trouble codes? hopefully its the solonoid. whens the last time the fluid and filter in the trany has been changed?

 

i changed it about 7 months ago the old fluid was kinda dark with a red tint to it but didnt seem burnt

 

i took it to a shop and they didnt find anything

 

the shop probly didnt have one of these so they didnt get a reading.

i took it to the chevorlet dealer place about 15 min from here and i watched them do it lol no codes or anything

 

have u tried to re-adjust the at cable? when i changed my tb i checked mine and when i reset it right, the trany shifting completely changed. its still screwed up slips a little and squeels so im babying it till i can aford to get a raptor or a performance trans. did u change the solonoid? u should get one of these.

where is the at cable at on the TB ? there is 2 cables on it one for cruise control and the other idk lol

i also noticed today going to autozone when i had it in overdrive and started to go from 1st 2nd 3rd then when it shifted to OD or 4th it like went into nutreal and rev to 4500rpms till it shifted or grabed 4th gear
