Don't know if this may be your problem, but the stock LT1 engines are notorious for popping in the exhaust during sudden deceleration, and is considered normal. The stock exhaust kills the noise better than aftermarket systems. When the throttle is closed the PCM turns off the injectors but cannot react quickly enough when the throttle is suddenly closed. This results in excessive fuel being blown into the exhaust where it then explodes.

It pops a tiny bit when i let off the throttle, but the real noise comes when i touch it and accelerate again. Same thing? And is that bad for my exhaust over time?

I'm halfway considering selling it, too much paranoia involved thinking my *** end's gonna drop out from under me at any second among other (hopefully) minor problems..then i bury the throttle and am all happy again

My bad, bad choice of words...no it's the throaty womp womp womp, not a pop or a banging, that sounds like it's coming from the rear...

check the transmission mount. they can look good if u dont look really close, look for a crack in the rubber usually at top or bottom side close to the mount base or trans connection.

it would be kinda hard to get a sound clip unless its really load over all the driving noise, but idk bout the tranny mount, i broke mine and all it did would CLUNK every time id hit the gas, idt it would do it when your coming off the gas and be a constant noise unless you like broke all of them
