Help! overheating

as you are in the front of the car with the hood open, the radiator hose on the passenger side, does that get hot as the car is running? That will tell you if the thermostat is opening and the waterpump is functioning.
Does the temp conmtinue to rise as you drive? If so, to what temp according to the gauge? Did you use a 180 or 160 degree thermostat? I have a 180 and while driving, the temp doesn't budge. When i stop at a light for an extended period, it climbs until the fans kick on.

Slp makes a fan control switch like the other guy was saying and it works excellent. i have one in mine and its not hard to install at all. also i have the same problem with the low coolent sensor and i still havent changed mine yet but i also dont think its a big deal rite now
