ok so heres what happened my car was inoperative for a few months and now i finally fixed it but it seems to shake terrible mostly in 6th gear idk what could be wrong help any ideas?

 

Is the shaking related to speed, rpm, just 6th gear???

 

6th gear is a double overdrive. Unless you're cruising well past highway speeds on flat ground, don't even bother using 6th gear. If you're popping it in 6th at low speeds, you're lugging the engine down, and that's most likely what you're experiencing.

 

well before it got messed up it wouldnt do that and if it would shake it would be mild and now its shakes very violently like if the tranny was gonna fall off and its relative to rpm i guess but its not noticeable till like 4th geear and as i go into higher gears it worsens

 

what did u fix?

 

just an ignition sensor

 

tranny mount? bad alignment?

 

how much is a tranny mount? and could it be alingment?

 

stock trany mount is about 10 bucks. dont use a poly trans mount they magnify vibrations. if it was alingment u would feel it in the stearing wheel.

 

no it shakes alot like from the tranny might it be a misfire? or something to do with the ignition system? lower rpms in higher gears is what triggers the violent shaking
